NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Pelicans will be getting plenty of frequent flier miles this preseason.
They have four games on the preseason schedule, and two of them take place in Australia against two National Basketball League teams.
Preseason play gets underway on October 3 and wraps up on October 16
With head coach Willie Green leading such a young roster, these games will be extremely important when it comes to getting them up to speed, in a hurry.
“Training camp and preseason are about developing chemistry,” said color analyst Antonio Daniels. “You can do a lot of things individually and find out a lot about yourself, but collectively, because of how deep the Western Conference is, you want to hit the ground running.”
MORE PELICANS
As for that Pels schedule, those two games in Australia will tip off preseason play.
They will take on Melbourne United on October 3, and on the next night, they’ll face Southeast Melbourne Phoenix.
They return to the States to face the Rockets in Birmingham on October 14th.
