Not even 48 hours into free agency, Ben Tenzer, Jon Wallace the Denver Nuggets have put together arguably the best offseason in the NBA with a plethora of moves to build a better roster surrounding Nikola Jokic. After a handful of years in which Calvin Booth sat behind his desk making questionable move after questionable move, the energy from the new brass is a sigh of relief for fans, who have showed positive feedback to the moves.
All four of the moves made so far have been hits, but Nuggets fans aren’t the only ones who have been seeing the synergy and connections of the moves, as the astrologers of the NBA world have also seen the positives in Denver’s moves.
JJ Barea (Cancer)
Synergy grade: A+
JJ Barea is a great addition to David Adelman’s staff. They have a natural understanding of each other’s energies which could extend to smooth collaboration. Taurus & Cancer connection is very strong.

Jonas Valanciunas (Taurus)
Synergy Grade: A+
The Nuggets have made another great acquisition with Valanciunas. He seamlessly complements their already strong core. Interestingly, in terms of synergy, Dario Saric did not align well with the Nuggets’ core. Valanciunas on the… https://t.co/xFGyhcV5d8

There was no grade given for Bruce Brown or Cam Johnson, but Nuggets fans already know how much their beloved “Brucey B” loves the city and playing alongside Jokic. For anyone who watched a single Nets game last season (there’s some League Pass diehards out there), they know that Cam Johnson’s movement shooting and ability to drive to the rim more than Michael Porter Jr. will allow for the Nuggets offense to potentially reach an even new level.
If the zodiac calendars don’t match up for those two, the on-court product will make up for it just fine.
The Zodiac GM also emphasized a point that was clear the first time Dario Saric stepped on a basketball court in the Mile High City back in 2024, that he had no chemistry with anyone on the team, saying that he “didn’t align well with the Nuggets’ core.”
A guy who averaged 3.5 points per game on .362/.269/.700 shooting splits sure sounds like someone who had no alignment with the rest of his team. Don’t forget the fact that he played a total of 75 minutes after Thanksgiving, but was making more money than Russell Westbrook.
Do astrological trends actually impact on-court performance? Probably not, but it’s a fun way to see that this newly-constructed Nuggets team has some kind of a connection before ever stepping on the court with each other. Remember, the 2023 title team was all about “the power of friendship,” and Tenzer said that he was excited to be working with one of his best friends in Wallace just before free agency started. With the front office’s relationship and the positive zodiac signs, it seems that the 2025 offseason is the rebirth of the power of friendship Nuggets.
