The news of that injury came the day after Memphis signed the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year to a five-year, $240 million extension.

Jackson underwent a successful surgery to repair the damage to his right foot, according to the Grizzlies. The team said he will be reevaluated after 12 weeks and that he is expected to make a full recovery.

If Jackson returns at the end of those 12 weeks, he could be available for the start of the 2025-2026 NBA season.
