The offseason is the best time for an organization to improve its roster, and one team has absolutely nailed it.
Many may believe that the Houston Rockets won it due to the Kevin Durant trade or the signing of Dorian Finney-Smith.
On the other hand, a case can be made for the Atlanta Hawks acquiring Kristaps Porzingis and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
However, according to former NBA All-Star Jeff Teague, it’s the Denver Nuggets who have easily “won free agency.”

After facing a second-round exit in the 2025 NBA Playoffs, the Nuggets’ front office has quietly constructed an improved roster around their superstar Nikola Jokic.
On a recent episode of the Club 520 podcast, Teague applauded the Nuggets and labeled them as the winners of this free agency.
“The team that [has] won free agency so far is the Denver Nuggets. Oh my goodness. They are back. They got Tim Hardaway Jr. on a vet minimum after how he played last year.
“They are literally cooking. Perfect fit. Getting Bruce Brown, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Jonas Valanciunas… now you have solidified a backup big,” Teague said.
Teague pointed out that Valanciunas’ addition would be extremely important for the Nuggets over DeAndre Jordan, who is currently an unrestricted free agent.
“I know they were playing DeAndre Jordan, no disrespect to DJ, but now you’ve got Valanciunas, who can still play. I like what the Denver Nuggets did.”
All of Denver Nuggets’ additions and departures so far
Despite Nuggets owner Josh Kroenke talking about a potential Jokic trade, the organization has continued to build around the 3x NBA Most Valuable Player this offseason.
Keeping that in mind, here are the complete additions and departures for the Nuggets so far in this NBA free agency.
