OREGON CITY, Ore. (KATU) — A jury on Thursday found former Portland Trail Blazers Ben McLemore guilty of raping a woman at a party.

McLemore, 32, played one season with the Blazers.

The jury found him guilty of rape and sexual abuse of a woman at the home of former Blazers Robert Covington in October 2021.

Covington and another former Blazers player testified in the case.

The trial took more than two weeks. The jury deliberated for roughly 10 hours before finding McLemore guilty.

He now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of almost eight and a half years in prison.

He is set to be sentenced next Wednesday.
