Tony Parker is ingrained in the folklore of San Antonio Spurs’ storied history.

The French legend is most known for being the point guard of the Spurs dynasty that ruled the NBA in the 2000s and 2010s, along with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginóbili

He also grew in popularity when he dated — and then married — Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria in 2007.

Renowned for their frequent PDA, the pair shocked the entertainment industry when they announced their split just three years later due to allegations of infidelity from Parker.

Having spent 18 seasons in The Association, it is estimated that Parker totalled upward of $168 million in career earnings, which has afforded him a home that most people in the world could only dream of.

In Twitch and YouTube star Kai Cenat’s live stream on Tuesday, Parker gave the social media sensation and his Any Means Possible (AMP) entourage a tour of his 53-acre mansion in Boerne, Texas.

Parker revealed some of his $16.5 million home’s hidden treasures, including a waterpark in his garden, which includes a stunning waterfall.

But perhaps the most intriguing — and unexpected — part of the video was reveal of a personal 24/7 Nando’s restaurant.

That’s right — the Frenchman has an entire room extending from his kitchen that is designed exactly to the specifications of a typical Nando’s restaurant, from the branding down to the light bulbs.

However, that wasn’t all.

The six-time NBA All-Star had a dedicated finger-print access only special ‘champion room’ which is dedicated to all of his jerseys, trophies, and NBA Finals Rings.

What him showing this room did was truly encapsulate just how successful a career he had at the very top level of elite basketball.

In his career with San Antonio, Parker got to work under one of the most beloved coaches in the NBA in Gregg Popovich.

Coach Pop, as he was nicknamed, has the most wins by a head coach in NBA history, racking up 1,422 in the regular season and 170 in playoffs.

The three-time NBA Coach of the Year also won five NBA championships in his tenure, four of which came with Parker running the point.

Selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft, Parker entered the league as a starter.

In 17 seasons with the Spurs, he played 1,198 regular season games in which he averaged 15.8 points per, shooting at a 49.2 percent clip from the field.

He also averaged 5.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds per contest.

NBA’s Greatest

But it was in the playoffs, under the brightest lights, where he really shone.

Reaching the post-season in every season he was with San Antonio, Parker increased his scoring to 17.9 points per game on 47.9 percent shooting from two-pointers.

He also remained consistent with his ball facilitation, dishing out an average of 5.1 assists per game to just 2.6 turnovers.

But arguably his best post-season performance came in 2006-07, when his 20.8 points, 5.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds led his team to the NBA Finals once again.

Scoring an average of 24.6 points including shooting 57.5 percent from the floor in their 4-0 sweep of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals saw a then-24-year-old Parker being named series MVP.

Known for his speed and ability to penetrate the lane, Parker developed into one of the most dynamic scorers and playmakers in the league, and made the floater his signature go-to shot.

As such, he was a player who fans and those in and around the league marvelled at and couldn’t take their eyes off of.

There is simply no Spurs dynasty without Tony Parker, and his 2023 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame induction is a true testament to just how much he helped transform the NBA into a league full of European stars that continues to evolve and grow.
