Former Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Jared Dudley has sent out a message after leaving the Dallas Mavericks to join the Denver Nuggets.
After his playing career in the NBA, Jared Dudley joined the Dallas Mavericks as an assistant under Jason Kidd, who was once his coach during his time in the league.
He was a role player on the LA Lakers team that won the ring in the bubble and also had stints for teams like the Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets, before he retired in 2021.
During his time with the Mavericks, he mentored the likes of Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Daniel Gafford to help the franchise get to the NBA Finals in 2024.
After a four-year tenure with the Mavs, Dudley secured a job as an assistant to David Adelman in Denver, but he sent out a message to a few before leaving.

Kidd’s coaching staff recently saw the arrival of former Lakers coach Frank Vogel.
After that it was announced that Dudley could be on his way out after reports had already linked him to a few other coaching roles as he was a highly respected figure in the NBA.
However, he was picked up by the Denver Nuggets as an assistant under Adelman, who was handed the head coaching responsibility after he led the team to the second round of the playoffs after the firing of Michael Malone.

Mavs star J.J. Barea was also roped in as an assistant, but Dudley is reported to be one of the leading assistants under Adelman.
He put out a special message on X to thank a few people from the Mavs organisation.
It read: “Thankful For Coach Kidd and Nico for giving me the opportunity to go from a Player to front-bench coach. Excited for my next chapter with Coach Adelman and the Denver Nuggets! Let’s get it!”

Mavericks are showing intent with coaching hirings
The hiring of Vogel to the Mavericks coaching setup will certainly prove to be a great move for the Mavericks.
Not only is he a championship- winning coach, but his ability to construct a team that can defend against any side will make the Mavs a difficult side to beat.
They have players like Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford and Cooper Flagg, who are all great defenders.
But having a coach like Vogel on the team, who has set up some of the best defenses, will be a further boost for these players.
Also joining Kidd’s team will be Jay Triano, who has had two stints as a head coach of the NBA.
He was recently with the Sacramento Kings, but was fired in December after Mike Brown was removed from the job.
Both of these coaches add a lot of experience and will help the Mavericks significantly when the games get tougher.
