Wisconsin’s Chucky Hepburn returns from injury against Marquette
Wisconsin’s Chucky Hepburn was giving Marquette more than it could handle until he went down. But he returned with the key assist in an overtime win.

Former Wisconsin guard Chucky Hepburn, who finished his college career at Louisville, did not hear his name during the two-round NBA draft.
But it didn’t take long for Hepburn to find a spot, with ESPN reporting that the 6-foot-2 guard is expected to sign a two-way deal with the Toronto Raptors.
Hepburn spent three seasons with the Badgers, starting every game and totalling 1,103 points, 313 assists and 162 steals.
He transferred to Louisville for his final season to play for new head coach Pat Kelsey, reportedly for a big amount in NIL and collective payments.
With the Cardinals, Hepburn was named ACC defensive player of the year. He was also named to the all-ACC first team after averaging 16.4 points per game. Louisville lost to Creighton in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Former Marquette player Dawson Garcia lands deal with Detroit Pistons
Dawson Garcia was one of Marquette’s most-hyped prospects in recent memory.
He’s getting a chance in the NBA, though Garcia’s path to get there wasn’t what MU fans expected.
The 6-foot-11 Garcia will reportedly sign a deal with the Detroit Pistons after going undrafted.
Garcia averaged 13 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a freshman for the Golden Eagles in the COVID-plagued 2020-21 season. He declared for the NBA draft while MU underwent a coaching change, then decided to transfer to the University of North Carolina.
He played in only 16 games with the Tar Heels, then found more success at Minnesota in his home state over the past three seasons.
