Draymond Green was annoyed with what Houston Rockets veteran Dillon Brook did after losing Game 7.
Losing in the first round can be frustrating, especially for a team that reached the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
The Houston Rockets are in this exact situation as they were sent home by the Golden State Warriors at the end of a well-fought seven-game first-round series.
Despite being fairly inexperienced, the Rockets’ Game 7 collapse highlighted some major flaws in their roster. Even then, most expected the team to show respect to their opponents. However, Warriors’ Draymond Green believes one Rockets star failed to do so.

Even before joining the Rockets, Dillon Brooks established a rivalry with Green. After all, Brooks has followed the roadmap of Green’s career i.e., being a vocal and physical lead of the team.
But the biggest difference between the two stars is the fact that Green has a well-accomplished resume to back his trash talk, something that Brooks isn’t close to achieving in his NBA career.
Keeping that in mind, Green recently called out the Rockets veteran for his disrespectful actions following the 103-89 Game 7 loss at home.
“Dillon Brooks ran off the court. When I say you see what guys is made of. He ran off the court, didn’t shake nobody up,” Green said.
“You admitted that you were trying to hurt Steph hand, again fine by me bro, I get it, we all get it when you hoop, but if you gonna be on that type of time, wear shade in the press conference, talking, Mr. big bad wolf, don’t lose and then don’t face the music.
“Don’t be that guy. You lose a lot of respect for guys in that moment,” he added.
Green was understandably furious with Brooks, walking off the court without shaking hands with his opponents. It was likely a result of his failure to back up his antics throughout the series.
Dillon Brooks’ controversial statement about Steph Curry
Stephen Curry wasn’t his usual self in the first round as the 4x NBA champ was consistently dealing with a thumb injury.
While the intensity in the playoffs is always high, Brooks took things up a notch when he admitted he was unfazed with Curry’s injury.
Former NBA player Jeff Teague showed support to Brooks for his comments, but at the end of the day, the Rockets veteran failed to help his team win the series even after deliberating trying to take advantage of Curry’s injury.
If anything, Brooks’ statement lit a fire under Curry’s teammates as they stepped up their game in the latter half of the series.
