Luke Kornet’s 2024-25 season with the Boston Celtics earned him a big pay day from the San Antonio Spurs, and it drew praise from two of his former teammates.

Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis took to Instagram to share their excitement for Kornet.

“Much deserved,” Tatum wrote on his Instagram story.

“Happy for this guy!,” Porzingis wrote. “One of the best teammates. Well deserved Luuukee.”

Aside from losing Kornet — who signed a four-year, $41 million deal with San Antonio — in free agency, the Celtics also moved on from Porzingis in a three-team trade that sent the big man to the Atlanta Hawks.

Tatum, meanwhile, will likely miss most, if not all of next season as he recovers from a torn Achilles suffered in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the New York Knicks.
