Moritz Wagner, the German center, has signed a one-year contract with the Orlando Magic, reports Shams Charania.

Recently, the Magic declined the team option in Wagner’s contract, which would have earned the German center 11 million dollars next season. Under the new deal, however, Wagner will earn 5 million dollars.

Wagner, who recently turned 28, suffered a serious injury last December when he tore his ACL. As a result, he played only 30 games last season, averaging 12.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.

Before joining the Orlando Magic, Moritz Wagner also played for the Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Lakers. He began his career in 2014 with Alba Berlin but moved to the NCAA the following season, where he spent three years with the Michigan Wolverines.
