The Washington Wizards acquired F Cam Whitmore from the Houston Rockets in exchange for two second-round picks, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Washington traded a 2026 second-round pick (via Chicago) and a 2029 second-round pick (via Sacramento) to Houston to acquire Whitmore, as reported by The Athletic’s Joshua Robbins.
The Wizards add a talented, high-upside wing to their plethora of wings. Whitmore joins a young core of players 21 years old and younger that includes: Tre Johnson (19), Will Riley (19), Bub Carrington (19), Bilal Coulibaly (20), Alex Sarr (20), AJ Johnson (20) and Kyshawn George (21).
