Maryland men’s basketball head coach Buzz Williams has added two new members to his staff.

New director of process Josh Chambers first worked with Williams in 2016 as a graphic designer at Virginia Tech, before quickly being promoted to director of recruiting operations. He spent the last six seasons working under Williams as Texas A&M’s director of creative.

Chambers’ role is a wide-ranging one, tasked with creating and overseeing content that allows the Terps to evolve while maintaining their foundation. Chambers intends to implement Williams’ philosophies on and off the court to ensure alignment with the program’s values, according to the team’s statement.

TJ Ryan, Maryland men’s basketball’s director of basketball strategy and analytics, joined Williams at Virginia Tech in 2018 and moved with him to College Station. He served as Texas A&M’s director of scouting for the last six seasons.

In his new position at Maryland, Ryan will collaborate with the coaching staff to help coordinate the Terps’ offensive and special teams systems. His main focus will be combining analytics with on-court coaching to maximize output.
