It was reported during last season that the New York Knicks had interest in veteran wing Torrey Craig.
Craig eventually took a deal with the Boston Celtics on the buyout market, perhaps looking to win a ring.

Unfortunately for Craig, he was eventually eliminated by the Knicks. However, as he looks to find a new home on the free agency market, the Knicks could get back in the mix.
When looking at potential options to fill New York’s last roster spot, SB Nation recently linked the two sides to a potential pairing.
“While the team’s interest in Craig in last year’s buyout market was never confirmed, he seemed like a fit until he was scooped up by the defending champions that proceeded to essentially never use him.
“Craig could absolutely re-sign in Boston and get meaningful minutes on a retooling Celtics team, but the Knicks could also target him as a bench wing that can make an open 3 and play good defense,” they wrote. “He used to have CAA connections, you know!”

Craig is a very tough player to evaluate, but he’s certainly decent. When he was with the Denver Nuggets, he was a better player than in other parts of his career, which was rather long ago, considering he hasn’t played for Denver since the 2019-2020 season.
In a smaller role for the Celtics last year, he appeared in 11.8 minutes during his 17 games. He shot only 29.0% from 3-point range, which was also somewhat concerning.
However, Craig is a career 35.4% three-point shooter and a decent defender.
