It probably shouldn’t be a huge surprise since the team is owned by Grand Rapids’ own DeVos family, but the Orlando Magic have started to become a hub for basketball players from the state of Michigan. Last season, they fielded a team with five Michigan and Michigan State alums. While at least one of those players, Gary Harris, will be changing teams next season, the Magic immediately replaced him with another Spartan, selecting Jase Richardson with the No. 25 pick in the NBA draft.

Now, Richardson will get his first chance to play in the black-and-blue pinstripes in this week’s NBA Summer League, and he will be joined by some familiar faces, as Jaden Akins and Marcus Bingham Jr. will both be with him on the summer league roster.
