Former Tennessee men’s basketball player Jahmai Mashack made his first professional start Tuesday in the Salt Lake City Summer League with the Grizzlies. Philadelphia defeated Memphis, 91-90, at Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mashack totaled 13 points, three steals, one rebound, one assist and one block in 24 minutes against the 76ers. He converted 4-of-9 field goal attempts, 3-of-4 three-point attempts and 2-of-2 free throw attempts.

Mashack, a guard, was selected in the second round by Memphis with the No. 59 overall pick. He was the final pick of the 2025 NBA draft.
The 6-foot-4, 202-pound guard played for the Vols from 2021-25. He appeared in 137 games, including 59 starts. Mashack was named as a 2025 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award Finalist and earned 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team honors.
He went to Tennessee from Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
