Basketball fans seem divided on the Emirates NBA Cup and whether it has been a good addition to the league’s schedule. While some like it and feel it has added excitement and motivation to the opening weeks of the season, others have dismissed it as an unnecessary gimmick.
The Los Angeles Lakers won the first-ever NBA Cup in December 2023, and this past season, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in the final game of the knockout round to take home the cup.
