Playing with Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is a dream.
He makes his teammates better as a dazzling passer constantly creating open shots. He’s also the best player in the NBA, so if you take the court with him, you’ve got a shot at an NBA championship.
And you can tell new Nuggets players Cam Johnson and Tim Hardaway Jr. feel the same way. Johnson was acquired for Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first-round pick from the Brooklyn Nets. Hardaway is coming over in free agency, most recently suiting up for the Detroit Pistons.
The duo joined “The Young Man and The Three” podcast to discuss coming to Denver. And while the full episode is set to drop on Thursday, a preview clip was released on social media on Wednesday.
The topic? Nikola Jokic of course. And just look at the smiles from Johnson and Hardaway when the Serbian sensation is brought up.

Hardaway is flat-out giddy. Johnson is excited to not have to play against Nikola Jokic any longer, then goes on to say a whole bunch of nice things about him.
“It’s an uncanny ability he has, spatial awareness, just how he feels the game. How he understands the game. He does it in a way different than anybody else in the league,” Johnson says.
Jokic has won three of the last five NBA MVPs, and you can make an easy case he should’ve won five in a row. He’s that good, dominating the best basketball league in the world on a nightly basis.
And for Johnson and Hardaway, you can tell the reality they get to call Nikola Jokic a teammate now is sinking in.
This clip was worth watching, as will the whole podcast when it releases at some point in the next 24 hours.
