Alabama women’s basketball will take on Florida State in a high-profile exhibition game at Boutwell Auditorium as part of the “Ballin’ in Boutwell” event.
The matchup is set for noon Thursday, Oct. 16.
Alabama and Florida State are the only two women’s basketball programs featured in the week-long showcase, which brings the sport to the historic downtown Birmingham venue.
The game marks a rematch of the 2024 NCAA Tournament first-round meeting, when Alabama won 82–74.

Both programs advanced to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament and are coming off strong seasons. Like Alabama, Florida State finished last year with a 24-9 overall record. The Crimson Tide returns eight players from its 2024-25 team and adds seven newcomers — three transfers and four freshmen.
The exhibition offers an early look at two veteran squads expected to contend again in 2025–26.
