
Struggling during the first two years of the NBA’s in-season tournament, the league, not making things any easier in year three for the Grizzlies.
The NBA announcing its groupings for this year’s NBA Cup on Wednesday with the Beale Street Bears in a five-team pod along with the Dallas Mavericks, the L.A. Lakers, the L.A. Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans. That means cup games against top pick Cooper Flagg, LeBron James and Luka Doncic, James Harden and the latest match-up between Zion Williamson and Ja Morant.

To remind you of the set up. 30 teams. 6 groups. The winner of each group advances along with one wildcard from each conference giving us 8 teams moving on to the knockout round. The winning team gets 500-grand, per player.
The Grizzlies have never made it out of the group stage, going 1 and 7 in cup games over the last two seasons.
