OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth is in Oklahoma City Sunday night for Game 7 of the NBA Finals at the Paycom Center.

The award-winning actress and singer sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder game against the Indiana Pacers.

But even superstars get nervous. She spoke with The Associated Press after her soundcheck, saying if there were anxiety medication for Thunder fans, she’d be taking it.

Chenoweth has performed the national anthem at Thunder games before, but acknowledged it’s a tough song to sing.

Chenoweth is from Broken Arrow and went to Oklahoma City University. She won a Tony Award in 1999 for best featured actress in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and received two Tony nominations for playing Glinda in “Wicked” and Lily Garland in “On the Twentieth Century”.
