The FSU Seminoles will play the UMass Minutemen in the 2025 Orange Bowl Classic, according to a report from Chris Nee of Noles247. The game is set to take place on Dec. 13 in Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
It is FSU’s 11th straight year playing in the event and 15th time overall. They are 10-4 in the games in the event and have won 10 of the past 13. They beat Tulane 77-64 last year in the event.
FSU and UMass faced off in 2024, with the Seminoles winning 92-59 in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. It was their ninth meeting all-time, with FSU leading the series 5-4, and winning four of the past five matchups.
Florida State‘s schedule for Year One of the Luke Loucks era is starting to come into focus as the season approaches, and it has an SEC flair. They will play the Alabama Crimson Tide in an exhibition prior to the season before facing the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, and Texas A&M Aggies during the season. They are also set to play the Dayton Flyers in their non-conference schedule.
They will host the Boston College, Cal, Duke, NC State, Stanford, Virginia, and Wake Forest and travel to play Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech in ACC play.
