UCLA’s men’s basketball team will face Gonzaga in Seattle on Dec. 13, in the second game of a two-year series between the two programs, the university announced Thursday.

The matchup will take place at Climate Pledge Arena as part of the Seattle Hoops Showdown. Tickets go on sale Sept. 19, with a one-day presale set for Sept. 18. Broadcast details and game time will be announced later.

Last season, UCLA defeated Gonzaga 65-62 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, marking the first-ever college basketball game at the arena. Eric Dailey Jr. led the Bruins with 18 points, hitting four of five shots from 3-point range.

This will be the 11th all-time meeting between the teams. They have faced each other five times in the past five seasons, including two NCAA Tournament matchups, as well as neutral-site games in Las Vegas and Honolulu.

The upcoming game will be UCLA’s first at Climate Pledge Arena since Jan. 6, 2000, when the Bruins played Washington during renovations of the Huskies’ home arena. Built in 1962, the venue underwent renovations in the mid-1990s and reopened as KeyArena before closing in 2018 for further upgrades. It reopened in 2021 under its current name.

UCLA returns four primary contributors from last season’s 23-11 team: seniors Tyler Bilodeau and Skyy Clark, junior Eric Dailey Jr. and sophomore Trent Perry. Returning redshirts Brandon Williams and Eric Freeny are also expected to compete for playing time, alongside five incoming transfers and one freshman.

Last season, the Bruins reached the NCAA Tournament’s second round, defeating Utah State before falling to Tennessee.
