The Denver Nuggets have made some quality additions to their roster in free agency.
While the future of Jonas Valanciunas is still in doubt, the other players whom the Denver Nuggets acquired in the offseason are expected to help the team significantly.
Last season, they were beaten by the OKC Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semis.
Despite the best efforts of Nikola Jokic, who averaged 28.4 points, 13.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists, the team lacked depth to compete against a young Thunder side.
This is why they brought Tim Hardaway Jr., Bruce Brown and Cameron Johnson onto the roster, all three who will add excellent shooting to the team.

Johnson happy to not be playing against Jokic
Johnson was brought to the Nuggets as part of the deal that saw Michael Porter Jr. move to the Brooklyn Nets.
He was a solid player for the Nets, averaging 18.8 PPG on 39% shooting from beyond the arc.
Although the Nets failed to make the playoffs, Johnson proved to be a vital cog, which is what made the Nuggets trade for him.

Speaking about his excitement to play with Jokic, he said: “Honestly a big part of it is not having to play against him no more cause he’s a problem. He’s a problem, that’s it. Period.
“He can pass, he can rebound, he can score, you don’t know what you’re going to get on any given day like what mode he’s in. It’s an uncanny ability he has, the spatial awareness, just how he feels the game, how he understands the game.
“Like he does it in a way different to anybody else in the league.
“One of the best players in the league, one of the best players in league history from a pure numbers perspective, you’re not touching his output over the past couple of years and it’s not accidental, he’s just that good.”
Johnson will be a great fit with the Nuggets
Johnson first came into the limelight after his stint with the Phoenix Suns.
He played a key part in the team’s run to the NBA Finals in 2021, averaging eight points in the playoffs on 44.6% shooting from three-point range.
The 29-year-old continued performing consistently for the Suns, but was traded to the Nets as part of the trade that saw Kevin Durant move to Phoenix.

In his two and a half seasons in Brooklyn, Johnson played brilliantly as part of a rebuilding roster.
He can perform on both ends of the floor, which is why the Nuggets are a perfect fit for him.

Not only can he knock down shots, but he can also help anchor their defense alongside Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun.
NBA expert Bill Simmons labelled the trade as a ‘home run’ for the 2023 champions.
While his numbers suggest that he can play a significant role on the Nuggets team, the organization will have to look at more things to ensure they have a roster good enough to compete as Jokic’s contract situation is still looming around them.
