Former Michigan State Spartans star Jase Richardson impressed in his NBA Summer League debut on Thursday night.

Richardson dropped 14 points and dished out one assist in the Orlando Magic‘s opening game against the Sacramento Kings of NBA Summer League on Thursday. The Magic came out with the loss, but Richardson certainly was a bright spot for Orlando.

Richardson shot 5-of-8 from the field, and 2-of-3 from three-point range in the game. This was his first game since the Magic selected him with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft last month.

Next up for the Magic is another NBA Summer League game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Before we look ahead to that matchup, let’s check out highlights of Richardson’s debut below:
