The Portland Trail Blazers raced to a double-digit lead in the opening minutes and never looked back in a 106-73 win over Golden State to open up their summer league schedule Friday night in Las Vegas.
Rayan Rupert set the tone with a steal that he took the distance for a dunk and a quick 6-0 lead, and a few minutes later second-round pick Caleb Love got loose on the fastbreak for another quick two that stretched the margin to 17-4.
Portland enjoyed a 20-point margin through most of the second half.
Rupert led the Blazers with 23 points and was a perfect 11-for-11 from the free-throw line. Love added 18 points on 4-of-7 (57.1%) shooting from 3-point range.
Portland takes on Memphis at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
