A highly anticipated Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks just became even more interesting.
The defending champion and No. 2-seeded Celtics blew a 20-point lead on their own home floor as the Knicks staged a remarkable comeback to force overtime and eventually pull off the upset in Game 1.
Now, the Celtics will have to find a way to regroup and get back on track, especially with their outside shooting. Boston shot 35.1% from the floor and converted just 15-of-60 tries (25%) from 3-point range. The 60 attempts and 45 missed 3s were both single-game NBA playoff records.
For the Knicks, it was just another frantic comeback this postseason after recording three come-from-behind wins in their first-round series. Will history repeat itself in Game 2?
