Online sleuths believe Indiana Fever president Kelly Krauskopf deleted her X account sometime between an introductory press conference in October 2024 and July 2025 — and fans of the team think they know why.

In October of last year Krauskopf told reporters, “This is about the Indiana Fever. Yes, we have a foundational player in Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, and we’re going to continue to add to that. But I want this team to be a leader in the country and a brand, an enduring brand, like Apple or something. We have a real opportunity here.”
Video from the press conference made the rounds again on July 11 and appeared to frustrate some fans, who accused Krauskopf of being more concerned about building a brand than the players on the court. Whether or not that is a fair interpretation of Krauskopf’s intent has not been as widely discussed.
“This is the moment where it takes a generation some time to get to that level,” Krauskopf also said. “I would tell our players, ‘Look, we’re building this for someone else. We’re building this for someone’s 10-year-old daughter now,’ because that’s what you do. We wanted to keep moving it forward, pushing it forward and paying it forward.”

At some point between then and now, the X username “@k2indytex” (which many attribute to Krauskopf) also went offline.
