The Philadelphia 76ers will continue summer league play on Tuesday when they take on the Washington Wizards in Las Vegas. It will be Philadelphia’s third summer league game and sixth overall so it will continue looking for the youngsters to continue growing.

The Sixers will be getting a boost from the return of rookie guard VJ Edgecombe. The No. 3 overall pick has not played since the summer league opener in Salt Lake City on July 5 when he impressed with 28 points and 10 rebounds. He suffered a left thumb sprain in that contest and he has not been able to play, but the Sixers will welcome him back against the Wizards.

Sixers summer league coach TJ DiLeo gave his assessment of Edgecombe as he was a full participant in practice on Monday. If Edgecombe can put on another terrific performance in his return to the floor, it will be a big boost to the Sixers to give them another look at their prized rookie.

Tip off with the Wizards is set for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
