With two-way center N’Faly Dante likely unavailable (ankle), the Rockets will face off against the Trail Blazers and rookie sensation Yang Hansen in Thursday’s NBA summer-league action.

After two consecutive off days, the Houston Rockets (0-3) will resume their schedule at the NBA’s 2025 summer league when they play the Portland Trail Blazers (2-1) on Thursday night.

Both teams are playing their fourth summer-league game at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion in Las Vegas, with a fifth and final game to be added this weekend (opponents and times to be announced).

The Rockets are still looking for their first win of summer league, and they’re without second-year guard Reed Sheppard for the duration. But in Sheppard’s absence, Kennedy Chandler and Adonis Arms showed promise in Monday’s overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Rookie big man Yang Hansen, a Chinese center drafted in the 2025 first round, is perhaps the main attraction on the Trail Blazers. The 7-foot-1, 260-pound big man is averaging 11.7 points (46.4% FG, 36.4% on 3-pointers), 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 blocks in 25.4 minutes per game.

For Thursday, here’s our look at broadcast details and potential lineups.

The NBA does not require official injury reports to be issued before summer league games. Per Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle, both Kevon Harris and N’Faly Dante have been dealing with ankle injuries, so it’s probably unlikely for the Rockets to play them in games with limited stakes.

Sheppard remains out for precautionary reasons (left calf soreness).

Reed Sheppard is out for the rest of summer league for precautionary reasons, per Garrett Jackson. Kevon Harris is out for today’s game with an ankle injury.
