The teams have all been announced for the men’s and women’s 2025 Fort Myers Tip-Off at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern during the week of Thanksgiving.On the men’s side of tip-off, the beach division consists of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Michigan State University, St. Bonaventure University and East Carolina University.Last season, North Carolina finished 23–14 and lost to Ole Miss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Michigan State finished 30–7 and lost to Auburn in the Elite Eight. St. Bonaventure had a 22–12 record and lost to Kent State in the first round of the NIT. Finally, East Carolina finished 19–14 and fell to UAB in the quarterfinals of the AAC tournament.Bowling Green State University, Bucknell University, the University at Buffalo and the Virginia Military Institute are in the palms division of the tip-off. Looking at last season’s results for each program, Bowling Green was 14-18 and lost to Akron in the quarterfinals of the MAC tournament. As for Bucknell, they went 18-15 and fell to Navy in the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament. Buffalo finished 9-22 and missed the MAC tournament. VMI had a record of 15–19 and was defeated by Wofford in the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament.As for the women’s side of the tip-off, the University of Kansas, the University of Georgia, the University of Dayton and Butler University are in the island division.Last season, Kansas finished 16-14 and lost to Texas Tech in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. Georgia went 13-19 and fell to Oklahoma in the second round of the SEC tournament. For Dayton, they had a record of 18–13 and lost to Davidson in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament. Finally, Butler finished 16-18 and suffered a loss to Purdue Fort Wayne in the Super 16 of the WNIT.Northwestern University, the University of Missouri, Bradley University and Abilene Christian University are in the shell division for the tip-off.In this division last year, Northwestern was 9-18 and missed the Big Ten tournament. Missouri went 14-18 and lost to Mississippi State in the first round of the SEC tournament.
