The Los Angeles Clippers started off their Game 7 matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Saturday evening looking strong. At the end of the first quarter, they hold a 26-21 lead. What happened after that was a thing of nightmares for Tyronn Lue and company.
When all was said and done, the Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs by a final score of 120-101.
Kawhi Leonard did everything he could to keep his team in the game, scoring 22 points on 6-for-13 shooting, but no one else could help him. James Harden scored just seven points on 2-for-8 shooting, while also dishing out 13 assists.
On the other side of the court, the Nuggets had six players score in double figures, with Aaron Gordon scoring 22 and Christian Braun pouring in 21. Nikola Jokic scored 16 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out eight assists, and recorded three steals in the win.
Following their loss, Los Angeles has received some mocking messages from Los Angeles Lakers fans.
A popular Lakers page on X, Lakers Empire, shared a rough post aimed at the Clippers.
Plenty of other negative comments about the team have come flying in on social media as well. Fans have also been calling for Lue to be fired.

“Clippers always fold in the playoffs,” one comment read.
Another fan wrote, “Somehow the clippers went out worse than the lakers despite forcing a game 7.”
“So glad that when the Lakers get knocked out of the first round so do the clippers,” another fan posted.
Los Angeles finished the regular season with a 50-32 record. Once again, it was a good regular season with a very disappointing elimination in the playoffs.
