Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray is working out in Las Vegas.
And he’s doing it with the NBA Summer League squad of the Nuggets as they prepare to play their fourth game in Sin City tomorrow night.
The team shared a video of Murray on social media on Thursday, along with a handful of pictures. He looks fit and in shape, which will be a welcome sight for Denver fans.

Jamal Murray had a bumpy offseason last summer, as there was some drama around his contract extension and then he didn’t play well in the Olympics for Team Canada.
It took Murray and the Nuggets about 20 games to find a rhythm at the start of last year, as Denver got off to a very pedestrian 11-10 start, including an inexcusable loss to the Wizards in early December.
They were probably never catching the Thunder for the No. 1 seed, but a little more focus early could’ve led them to the No. 2 seed. Instead, the Nuggets finished 50-32 and at No. 4 in the West.
That meant a date with Oklahoma City in the Western Conference semifinals and the season ending in Game 7 on the road. The Thunder, of course, went on to win the whole thing.
The conditioning of Jamal Murray has been a popular topic amongst fans, and new head coach David Adelman said something at his introductory press conference that caught people’s attention.
“I think we can come back more ready to start the season, I would love for us to come back more ready to go,” Adelman said on May 28. “That’ll be the expectation, to come back in much better shape.”
Adelman didn’t name names, but it’s not hard to connect the dots of who he was likely talking about. The fact Jamal Murray is taking time to go to Vegas during the summer, and workout with the Nuggets battling for the final roster spot or two, is a great sign.
And with Denver’s big offseason, the sky is the limit for this team if Jamal Murray is in shape and plays like he did when they won the title in 2023.
