The Phoenix Suns ruled Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal out for Friday’s home game against the Utah Jazz. Durant continues to deal with a sprained left ankle and Beal is experiencing soreness on his left great toe.

Durant sat out of Wednesday’s loss in Oklahoma City due to the injury he picked up in Monday’s overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Suns forward missed 10 games earlier this season due to a left calf strain and a left ankle sprain but had played in Phoenix’s prior 26 games.

He is averaging 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game on 52.4% shooting en route to the 15th All-Star appearance of his career.

Beal played 29 minutes in Wednesday’s loss and had 25 points (on 7 of 11 shooting), six assists and three rebounds. He has scored 25 points in his past two games for the Suns.

The Suns guard has missed 13 games this season due to elbow, calf, knee, hip and ankle injuries.

Suns rookie Ryan Dunn was initially listed as probable with left ankle soreness and will suit up.

Jazz injury report vs. Suns

The injury bug has hit the Jazz hard this week. Collin Sexton suffered a left ankle sprain during the first quarter of Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers and will be out Friday. He will be re-evaluated in one week.

And despite playing 33 minutes on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors, Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson has been ruled out for Friday’s game due to injury management of the plantar fasciitis on his left foot.

Taylor Hendricks remains out for the season for Utah after he underwent surgery for a broken fibula and dislocated ankle.

On the positive side for Utah, Cody Williams was listed as questionable for Friday. He has not played since Jan. 20 due to an ankle sprain.

Friday’s game tips off at 8 p.m. MST on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
