NBA:
Damian Lillard is returning to Portland. The star guard is signing a three-year contract to come back to the Blazers after leaving them 2 seasons ago in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. The franchise’s all-time leading scorer spent his first 11 seasons in Portland. Dame is recovering from an achilles injury and won’t play this upcoming season. Fan and pundit reaction has been mixed for how the veteran will fit on the young team.
The Blazers were excited about Dame Time in Las Vegas. Portland is now 3 – 1 in Summer League after a blowout win over Houston. 2nd year guard James Booknight poured in 25 points in just 20 minutes. It was a balanced night from the rest of the team. Next up the Blazers have to wait for tonight’s games to determine who they play in the weekend matchups.
MLB:
San Francisco is in 3rd place in the NL West 6 games behind the Dodgers and a half game in back of the Padres. They start a series in Toronto today. First pitch at 4.

The Elks return to the regular season tonight with the Cowlitz Blackbears visiting for a weekend series. First pitch from Vince Genna Stadium is 6:35.
The 123rd PNGA Men’s Amateur Championship continues into the weekend at Sunriver Resort. The rounds of 32 and 16 are today…with quarterfinal and semifinal matches tomorrow. The 36-hole championship match is Sunday.
