After winning its first Summit League title and making its Division 1 NCAA Tournament debut, Omaha basketball is finding some pros and cons to its success. As one of the top mid-majors in the country, the Mavs are struggling to schedule nonconference opponents – something head coach Chris Crutchfield said they expected heading into this offseason.”We just keep calling, keep asking. Coach Brown is doing a great job trying to work at it, but that’s what happens. That’s the transformation of being an average program to being a decent and a good program.
