The Los Angeles Clippers have made several changes to their roster, but they aren’t done yet.
The LA Clippers started their offseason by re-signing the likes of James Harden and Nicolas Batum to two-year deals.
And they followed it up with a massive trade for John Collins as they sent Norman Powell to the Miami Heat in the process.
Now, it’s official that former Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal is joining the Clippers on a two-year, $11 million contract. However, the Clippers were tipped to be adding both Chris Paul and Beal to their roster this summer.

At 40 years old, Paul has hinted that the 2025-26 NBA season could be his final year in the league. Considering CP3 hasn’t won an NBA title even after spending two decades in the league, the upcoming season is likely his final shot at fulfilling his dream.
What better way to make that dream a reality than returning to the Clippers? Speaking of which, according to NBA analyst Joey Linn, Paul liked an Instagram post announcing Beal’s arrival in LA.
When Clippers fans saw what Paul did, they instantly connected it to a potential reunion with the veteran point guard.
“Come home CP3,” a fan wrote. While another added: “It’s only a matter of time.”
“Chris Paul retiring at Intuit,” an emotional fan added.
“Omg he is really coming home,” a fourth fan stated, beaming with excitement.
“A CP3-LAC reunion would make the world happy,” a fifth Clippers fan announced.
While the Clippers already have a Beal-Harden backcourt duo, adding Paul to the bench would make life easier for head coach Tyronn Lue.
After all, Paul brings a wealth of experience, and he is coming on the heels of playing all 82 games for the San Antonio Spurs last season. Thus, proving he’s still fit as ever.
Chris Paul’s numbers for LA Clippers during his first stint
If all goes well and Paul joins LAC, this will be the second time in his NBA career that he joins the franchise. His first stint with the team lasted from 2011 to 2017.
At the time, Paul was in the prime of his career and averaged a stunning 18.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game for the Clippers over six seasons.
Paul played the role of a floor general during arguably the most exciting era in franchise history, a.k.a., ‘Lob City.’
It will be interesting to see if the legendary point guard can finally lead the franchise to an NBA Championship if he returns to the ball club.
