The Golden State Warriors are still figuring out all their options. As the team continues to find a solution to their Jonathan Kuminga problem, other free agency signings have been on pause. One thing that is clear is that the Warriors are looking to add size and shooting to their roster for next season.
That’s why many Warriors free agency rumors have linked the team to their former G-League standout, Chris Boucher.

Boucher seems like a natural Warriors free agency target. He is a long and versatile defender who can provide spacing with his three-point shot. For the Warriors, he could easily slide into the four or five position and play key minutes off the bench.
Unfortunately, recent Warriors rumors from two Warriors’ insiders indicate that the Warriors’ front office isn’t interested in pursuing Boucher.
On the Warriors Plus Minus Podcast, Marcus Thompson and Tim Kawakami discussed the possibility of a Warriors-Chris Boucher signing.
Kawakami mentioned that he heard the Warriors would not be pursuing Boucher. Thompson added that although odd (because he was on the Warriors G-League team and played one game as a Warrior), he also heard the Warriors aren’t that interested.

Maybe the Warriors have inside information on Boucher’s health or locker room/off-court issues. That seems to be one of the only reasons the Warriors wouldn’t be interested in going after Boucher.

In the end, the Warriors need players like Boucher. Although he might not be the perfect fit, the Warriors may need to start taking some risks if they want to compete in the Western Conference.
