Former Vanderbilt men’s basketball player Chris Mañon will be signing a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Mañon played for the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Summer League.

His best game came against the Cleveland Cavaliers where he recorded 17 points, five rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocks.

In his five games with Golden State, he averaged 11.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.

Mañon spent one season at Vanderbilt, averaging 6.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 53.3% from the field. He led the team in steals during the 2024-25 season with 56 total.

The 6-foot-5 guard spent three years at Cornell prior to playing for the Commodores. He made 26 starts and 33 appearances in the black and gold and had a game-saving block against SEC rival Tennessee to preserve a 76-75 win in Memorial Gym on Jan. 18.
