Nearly eight years ago, the Miami Heat unveiled the black “Vice Nights” jersey, a sequel to the white Vice jerseys worn throughout the 2017-18 season.
Last season, they brought back the original white uniforms — which they were reportedly trying to do for two years. Will they do that with the dark “Vice Nights” uniform?!
A recent leak says it’s a possibility.
One Leak Suggests Heat Will Wear Vice Nights Uniform In 2025-26:
The Heat had four renditions of the Vice Uniforms, starting with the white (2017-18), then going to black, blue (2019-20) and capped by cotton candy in 2020-21. They still wore the Vice Nights uniform for 15 games in 2020-21, but retired the theme entirely after that season.
According to NBA Jersey enthusiast Casey Vitelli, one of four uniforms the Heat will wear in 2025-26 will be the Vice Nights uniform.
The team has not made this official at the time of publishing.
The other three uniforms are likely the team’s home whites, away darks and alternate reds.
It’s been an incredibly successful brand since they were initially released in 2017. Upon returning in 2024-25, Miami Vice has generated over $25 million in revenue and $40 million in additional Vice merchandise.
One could assume those numbers are more inflated now, over six months after the re-release.
It would be objectively cool if, for the next three seasons, they run back the Vice because you could argue they’re the best set of alternates in Miami Heat history. They’re gonna need to be more creative after the “Heat Culture” jerseys flame out, but there’s nothing wrong with going back to uniforms the people (consumers) love for a short period of time.
