The Mississippi College have a new women’s basketball head coach in Rachel Travis.Travis comes in after serving as an assistant coach for the Tulsa Golden Wave who are coming off a WNIT appearance. Travis has over a decade of coaching experience with stints at Austin Peay, South Alabama and Longwood.She replaces Greg Long who led the Choctaws for 5 seasons. He is now an assistant coach for the College of Charleston in South Carolina.Last year the Choctaws won 15 games which is the most since it’s return to Division II and the Gulf South Conference.
