Pistons beat reporter Coty Davis talks to Holland, Jenkins in Las Vegas.
Detroit — Ron Holland’s exceptional performance in Las Vegas has earned him one of the highest honors of the league’s summer tournament. On Tuesday, the NBA announced that Pistons’ second-year forward was named to the NBA 2K26 All-Summer League Second Team.
Holland appeared in three games during the tournament and helped the Pistons finish with a 3-2 record. He averaged a team-high 21.7 points on 46.7% 3-point shooting, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals. His best game in Las Vegas took place during the Pistons’ 104-86 win over the New York Knicks on July 12. Holland scored 28 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers.
“Ron has really worked on his game this offseason, and it showed in these Vegas Summer League games,” president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon told The Detroit News on July 17. “He did a nice job of impacting the game on both ends of the floor with his physicality and competitive level.”
Joining Holland as part of the second were Isaac Jones (Kings), Kon Knueppel (Hornets), Ajay Mitchell (Thunder) and K.J. Simpson (Hornets).
The First Team: Nique Clifford (Kings), Kyle Filipowski (Jazz), David Jones-Garcia (Spurs), Jordan Miller (Clippers), Terrence Shannon Jr. (Timberwolves).
Filipowski received Summer League MVP honors.
