MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The offseason for college basketball is quickly winding down as the American Athletic Conference has announced conference matchups for the 2025-26 season.
Men’s head coach Penny Hardaway is entering his eighth season with a completely new squad of incoming freshmen or transfers.
Alex Simmons is entering her third season leading the women’s team, aiming to achieve her first winning season as head coach.
Both the Memphis Tigers’ men’s and women’s basketball teams will play 18 conference games, broken down by the following:

Hardaway and the men’s team are coming off a year where they finished ranked #25 in the country, the regular season and tournament AAC conference champions, on the way to earning a 5 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Simmons is not only aiming to get her Tigers back to their winning ways but also to attain postseason success. The women’s squad has failed to win a game in the AAC conference tournament in the last two seasons.
