The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Jared Butler from the Washington Wizards at the deadline and the former Baylor star had some good moments in 28 games for the Sixers. He started 17 games as he took advantage of the opportunity given to him amid all of the injuries in the rotation.

Butler averaged 11.5 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 35.2% from deep for the Sixers. One could have assumed the Sixers would bring him back after giving him a standard deal when he was once on a two-way, but they declined his team option before free agency began.

Now, Butler will look to continue his career in the Valley of the Sun as he will sign a deal with the Phoenix Suns. He will have an opportunity to get some point guard minutes next to Devin Booker at times.

Butler will look to move on with the Suns while the Sixers will look for more health in the 2025-26 season.
