The Los Angeles Lakers recently waived two players to create roster space for new signing Marcus Smart.
Smart agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal with the Lakers after his release from the rebuilding Washington Wizards.
JJ Redick’s team also strengthened with the additions of Deandre Ayton in free agency and Adou Thiero in the NBA Draft.
Jordan Goodwin, one of the two departures from LA, has already found a new home with the Phoenix Suns. The other player now appears close to joining a different team.

Shake Milton was traded to the Lakers alongside Dorian Finney-Smith in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis, and three second-round picks.
Milton averaged four points in 30 regular-season games for LA last season and didn’t score a single point in the playoffs.
He and Goodwin were waived last week to make room for Smart, who is expected to be a key bench player next season.
While Goodwin quickly found another NBA team (the Suns), Milton is in “advanced talks” with a EuroLeague club.
BasketNews is reporting that the point guard could sign for Partizan Belgrade ahead of the new campaign in late September.

Shake Milton to join several former NBA players at Partizan Belgrade
Milton will not be the only former NBA player on Partizan Belgrade’s roster next season; he will even join two past Lakers.
Then-President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson made a draft day trade with the Philadelphia 76ers to select Isaac Bonga from Germany in the 2018 draft.
Bonga played just one season with the Lakers, averaging less than one point per game, before joining the Washington Wizards.
He now finds himself in Belgrade with another former Laker, Sterling Brown, ex-New York Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina, and Oklahoma City Thunder draftee Aleksej Pokusevski.
