Former Philadelphia 76ers guard Trey Burke has been working on finding his next opportunity in basketball after nine years in the league. A former lottery pick of the Utah Jazz in 2013, Burke spent half a season with the Sixers playing in 25 games before being waived in the 2019-20 season.
Burke averaged 5.9 points and 2.1 assists as a member of the Sixers and gave them an offensive punch off the bench when it was required. He was in tandem with Raul Neto to backup Ben Simmons and the Sixers received different aspects of the game from each player.
Ultimately, the Sixers moved on from Burke and he ended up with the Dallas Mavericks to finish that season. He then spent the final 2.5 seasons of his NBA career with the Mavs before being sent to the Houston Rockets and then the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022 offseason and was waived by OKC after that second deal.
Burke was seen playing in a summer pro-am and the scoring guard out of Michigan showed he can still put the ball in the basket when given the opportunity.
Burke, 32, can still put the ball in the basket and he will look for his next stop on this basketball journey.
