Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks have not been affiliated long, but their time together has been relatively successful.
They were able to defeat the defending champion Boston Celtics before losing in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Indiana Pacers.

The question that lies on Knicks fans’ minds is whether the team they currently have is good enough to win a championship.
Towns could be holding Jalen Brunson and the rest of the roster back with his high volume of shots, which is why the front office may be willing to deal him to another team — despite just landing him ahead of the 2024-25 season.
If that is the case, the Golden State Warriors would be the perfect option, and all it would take is his former teammate, Jimmy Butler, and Quinten Post.
A few years ago, Towns and Butler were the bright spots of the Minnesota Timberwolves, but tragedy struck quickly, leading to a dramatic fallout.

The Knicks have built a tough defensive identity with players like Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, and Mitchell Robinson. Adding Butler to that group would solidify the best defensive unit in the league.
While Post doesn’t have the name value as Towns, he does have the ability to stretch the floor as a big man and will require less usage.
The Dubs, on the other hand, have been searching for a center for a long time.
Towns can put the ball on the floor and beat most centers while also being a career 40% three-point shooter, making him the perfect pick-and-pop duo with Stephen Curry.
