Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

We now take a quick look back at Andrew Goudelock, a guard who had a brief stint with the Lakers in the early 2010s.

Goudelock played four years at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. As a senior, he averaged 23.7 points and 4.2 assists a game while displaying some deadly 3-point shooting, and that was good enough to make him the No. 46 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Lakers.

At the time, the Lakers were starting a slow transition into the latter years of the Kobe Bryant era. Legendary head coach Phil Jackson was heading into retirement, and the roster was about to undergo plenty of upheaval. Goudelock was able to play 10.5 minutes a game as a rookie and average 4.4 points a game.

The following season, he spent a lot of time in what was then known as the NBA Developmental League (now the G League). But with Bryant going down due to a torn Achilles near the end of the schedule, the Lakers brought back Goudelock, and he got the opportunity to play heavy minutes in the first round of the playoffs versus the San Antonio Spurs.

He played 41 minutes in Game 3 and scored 20 points, and he then logged 33 minutes in Game 4 while registering 14 points. The Lakers got swept in four games.

Goudelock spent the following two seasons playing overseas before returning to the States to appear in eight games with the Houston Rockets during the 2015-16 campaign. That would do it for his NBA career.
