MARION, Iowa (KCRG) – Hannah Stuelke brought her third basketball camp back to the Marion YMCA on Saturday.
Stuelke grew up playing basketball at the YMCA, so it’s always unique to host it there.
“I think it’s really important to give people some of the opportunity that I had. This is a special place for me. It’s where I started. Coming back is really nostalgic,” said Stuelke.
For the first time this year, Stuelke brought a teammate from Iowa. Sophomore guard, Taylor Stremlow joined. Stremlow enjoyed helping out right by Stuelke’s hometown.
“Seeing how far both of us have come. Obviously Hannah grew up here and was in their shoes at one point. Being able to be that idol for some girls is pretty cool,” said Stremlow.
This was Stuelke’s first camp since winning the gold medal with Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup.
