Former Mississippi State basketball star Jordan Danberry hosted an all-girls basketball clinic at the Ark on Sunday.After helping host an all-girls clinic last year, Danberry wanted to create another event to develop the next generation of ballers. Danberry has been training athletes in the metro for about four years now and she says it her way of giving back.At the clinic, the players were taught ball-handling skills and defensive techniques. Danberry believes it’s important to teach these skills as players grow their game.”Once you get that foundational skill set in you, then everything else is just about perfecting your craft and continuing to find your niche. Or that one thing that you are good at. Some may be the best at dribbling. Some may be the best at shooting or defense, or someone may just have a high motor,” Danberry said.
